"Probably. But a cupboard is bigger than my entire apartment so.." She trailed off, shrugging her shoulders. She didn't really feel like going home. It was too cold and too quiet. She sat up, pulling her pony tail out of her hair to run her fingers through it. She pulled the ponytail holder on her wrist before she yawned again.

Zain just nodded slowly, leaning back a little bit. He uncrossed his arms, resting them at his sides and bracing his weight on his palms. "Come to my place then?" It was worth a shot..wasn't it?

Lafayette really didn't pass the 'stranger danger' course in primary school, as one could probably tell. "Sure. As long as your couch's comfy." She pulled herself up to her feet, dusting off her skirt. She was more used to sleeping outside than with someone she didn't know. But there really wasn't much of a different, was there?

Zain just chuckled. "Yeah, it's fine," He drawled softly. "Just, don't be too scared of that guy Zabel, hm?" A smirk. But the guy would probably be nicer to her than he was to Zain. If anyhing he followed Zain because he had no body else to boss him around. Zain waited for her to get on her feet, then started up the road with an easy stride.

Lafayette was uncomfortable at the idea of having to be in the same enclosed place as the person she'd seen before. He honestly scared her to no end. There was something unnatural about what he looked like. She followed after the male, wrapping her arms around herself. "You live far? Cause I'm really tired.." She said quietly, watching her feet.

Zain shook his head. "We're close." But tired..? Damn. Maybe he wouldn't get lucky. Oh well, she still owed him a favor. He cleared his throat, turning into one of the neighborhoods towards the house and opening he door, nudging her in. Zabel was somewhere in the house talking to himself, it sounded like.

She walked slowly into the house, scared the man would jump out of nowhere or something. She slid her hands into her back pockets, looking around. "Wow. This place is huge compared to my apartment." She said with a smile, looking back at him. She'd always wanted a big house, but was stuck where she was. She was too addicted to afford anything else.

Zain scoffed. "Hardly." It was a three bedroom two bath, but with three of them living there cinstantly, it felt pretty crammed to him. Zabel wandered out curiously, studying them, lips parting to say something. "Go to bed dammit," Zain hissed. "You scare everyone. Get." Zabel frowned, turning towards the hallway deiectedly.

Lafayette moved closer to Zain, hugging herself tighter. She didn't think he should be yelled at, but she wasn't going to be the one to change that. He was terrifying. "Are you sure he doesn't bite..?" She asked quietly, looking up at him.

Zain laughed bitterly. "He doesn't bi-" "I don't bite." The other male hummed, tilting his head with a smile. As scary as he looked, the guy obviously didn't understand why she was so scared. Or maybe he knew and didn't want to be. Zain glared with narrowed eyes. "Oh. 'M sorry.." He bowed his head. "Night."

She jumped when he spoke, clearly not expecting it. But she smiled when he told them goodnight. "Night. Sweet dreams." She told him quietly, taken aback by the fact that he actually had manners. Maybe books really shouldn't be judged by their covers. He was just horrifying to look at. "So.." She trailed off, not quite sure what to say or do.

He looked over his shoulder, laughed faintly and mumbled to himself as he disappeared down the hall. Zain dropped onto the edge of the couch. "You cancrash here, or in my bed.. I don't care." Getting up, he disappeared to the kitchen for a beer. As long as he didn't get drunk, right?

Lafayette nodded, taking a seat on the sofa. She kicked off her shoes, drawing her feet up into the sofa with her. She wasn't as tired as she was before, guessing her pill was starting to wear off. She looked around the room, wrapping her arms her legs. She turned, kneeling in the sofa so she could look for Zain. "You lived here long? I don't remember seeing you around."

Zain sauntered back, taking a swig if his beer. And he didn't care how old she was, he offered her one too. "I'm new..ish. Been here long enough to know people. Guess we just haven't had a run in, hm?" A chuckle. "From Vegas, actually." Shrugging again, he stretched his legs out. "My brother and sister wanted to leave, so, we came here.." Not to mention how many odd, useful creatures were here.

She took the beer from him with a thanks, sitting down on her heels to open it. "I always wanted to go to Vegas." It was like she belonged there. But she also didn't want to leave. She took a sip of her drink, leaning back against the arm of the sofa. "Where's your brother and sister tonight?" She asked, laying her head on the back of the sofa.
