Chelsea couldn't help but glare at him, even if it would probably have the opposite effect on him. She hated trying to fight with him. Her eyes drew him in and all she wanted to do was push him away. 'If he'd have been with a normal person, he wouldn't have this problem..' She thought bitterly. "Because your friend raped me. You think I wanted another baby after eighteen hours in labor with Adrienne?! But it hardly matters to you that when I told my mum, she told me it was my fault because I was a whore and kicked me out." She yanked the flour from him, walking back over to where her chicken was. "You just want your daughter. That's the only reason you're here. We would have been done a long time ago if I hadn't had her. You thought for some God-only-knows-why reason that you had to stay with me for her."

His teeth began to grind as she started off on her downward spiral. It was a ball of crazy, and Cameron could never handle the situation right. "How the fuck would I know what happened between you and your mom? You just fucking left me, Chelsea. I didn't know about you gettin rapped. I didn't know about another baby. All I knew was it was suppose to be me, you, and Adrienne and then you just vanished into thin air with her." He snarled, the anger coursed through his veins. "I thought that? Are you kidding me? You know damn well that it wasn't just Adrienne who I wanted to be there for. If it was, why would I go out at four in the morning for orange soda?" Cameron's lip curled, showing just how mad he was getting. "I can't stand this bullshit. Did you ever stop and think that I actually loved you? That you could have came to me and everything would be alright? No, of course not. You're acting like I'm the one who ran with my tail tucked between my legs, but as I remember it, I was there for you through the whole thing till you left" He couldn't take the conversation anymore. He didn't want to destroy Chelsea's house and he thought he just might. "Enjoy your dinner." Cameron spat before turning and taking off to the front door. Maybe the air would cool him down.

Chelsea just rolled her eyes. "You're so full of it, Cameron James. And don't you slam that door, either! My child is upstairs sleeping!" She called after him. This was exactly why they couldn't be in the same room together. Adrienne came in a moment later, clearly shaken by the commotion. She didn't like yelling in front of them about anything. Especially this. Just because they couldn't work things out like civilized people didn't mean they could do it in front of two easily impressionable children. She knelt down and hugged her daughter gently, holding her close. "Mommy's sorry. She didn't mean to yell. Why don't you go see if Cameron's on the porch and give him a hug goodbye? He means well." She told her, turning her around so she'd go before Chelsea started crying. 'I'm always ruining this..' She thought.

His hands ruffled through his hair, and a couple more of large puffs air escaped his lungs. He could go for a run, but all he did was sit down on the porch. "Four years and still all we do is yell..." Cameron sighed, but couldn't shake the frustration inside him. It wasn't suppose to be like this. His mother always said he was crazy for chasing Chelsea, but love was a powerful thing and if it was meant to be, it would be. So far, it looked like it wasn't. He rested his head inn his hands, trying to process his thoughts.

Chelsea followed at their daughter's request, walking slowly after the little girl as she made her way outside. Adrienne walked over to him hesitantly, then wrapped her arms tightly around his neck. 'It's okay, mister. Come eat with us. Mommy's cooking it now. When Mikey wakes up, we can watch a movie.' She rested her little head on his shoulder, looking over at him. Chelsea slowly wrung her towel in her hands, watching them quietly. She finally turned and went back into the kitchen, figuring it wasn't her place to be with them right now.

He could feel the tiny arms wrap around his neck and the tiny head resting on his shoulder. "I'm sorry, princess. I shouldn't have yelled at your mom like that.." He turned and pulled Adrienne into his lap. "I don't think joining you three for dinner is in my best interest. I don't want the tension between your mom and me, and I really don't want to fight with her. You three enjoy your dinner and if your mom wants me to come watch a movie with you all, then I'll be right here." Cameron's voice was quiet and his hands ran through the little girl's hair like he use to with Chelsea.

Chelsea cooked her food slowly, trying to keep her mind off her ex on the porch. Or was he even considered her ex? She wasn't sure. And she didn't want to think about it. It wasn't long before Mikey was up again and crying because he couldn't find his sister anywhere. Chels couldn't help thinking how hard it was gonna be if Cameron took Adrienne to keep Mikey there alone and entertained. He was so used to having her around. She let him stand on a stool and help her to mash the potatoes so his sister could have time with her dad. When they were finally done, she carried him to the door. 'Addie, i-it's time'a e-eat.' He told her, then stuck his thumb back in his mouth.

Cameron looked back to see Chelsea and Mikey in the doorway. He gave a smile toward Mikey before turning his attention back to the little girl in his lap. A hand stroked through her hair once more and he could see the gleam in Adrienne's eyes were just like her mom's. "Have a nice dinner," He gave a quick kiss to the top of her head before letting her out of his lap. His eyes glanced up to Chelsea for a moment before he went back to watching the street.

Chelsea debated with herself a moment, then walked over to him, leaning down to kiss the top of his head. "The three of us can't eat that much. Even if Mikey does love chicken strips." She took his hand, tugging on it gently. 'C-come eat a-and read us books.' Mikey told him, clearly excited about having company now that he was well rested.
"Adrienne will kiss you to death if you don't come eat, mister." She told him with a faint smile. It felt right, the four of the together. But she knew it was her fault it was anything but this, and she regretted it now just as she had every other day.

The kiss was surprise, letting goosebumps rise on his arms for a split second. But it gave a tug on his heart and the kids tugged on it even more. Moving with Chelsea as she tugged on his hand. "You needed flour for chicken strips?" His eyebrow rose slightly and a smirk crossed his lips as he caught the gaze of Chelsea. He dropped her hand to scoop Adrienne up as they headed back into the house. "What kind of books do you like, Mikey?" He let Adrienne slip carefully to the floor as he looked back to Chelsea. "Do you want me to get the drinks? You'll just have to tell me where the cups are and what there is to drink."

"Well you have to batter chicken when you dry it, Cameron. You can't just fry a chicken." She wrinkled her nose, sitting Mikey at his place at the table. He just sat there, sucking on his thumb as his bright green eyes stared at Cameron. "He won't tell you.. He doesn't like talking much. You're lucky he invited you to dinner." She teased, walking back into the kitchen to fix their plates. "The last cabinet by the window. There's tea on the stove. But there's a soda in the fridge. I don't believe you liked tea." She carried the plates out carefully, putting them in each place.

"Last I remember, I had to sneak food into your home cooked picnic basket just so i knew there was at least one good thing." He stuck his tongue out playfully as he followed her into the kitchen. "Well, what do you and the kids want?" Cameron's eyes trailed after her figure as she left for the dinning table. Of course, he hadn't listened to where Chels said the cups were and he scrambled through all of them until he found two big glasses and two children's cups.

"I don't know, Cameron. Probably the tea I said was on the stove?" Chelsea rolled her eyes. It was just like him to be an air head. She walked back to the kitchen for the ketchup once the kids had their plates before them. She took a couple of the cups from him, then sat down herself in her place. She put ketchup on Adrienne's plate, then her own before offering it to Cameron. "What would you like for dessert? I'll make it while you read to the children." She glanced over at him, slowly tracing the face she'd always been so in love with.

[With a quick mock, he filled three cups with tea and just got some water from the tap. He gave Mikey his drink before taking a seat at the table. Taking the ketchup bottle, he put a little on his plate and sat the bottle in the middle of the table. "I'm not that hungry. I don't think I could finish a desert." He looked over at Chelsea and gave a soft smile. He really didn't want to upset her. Cameron had always hated that, even though he was usually the cause of it. "But you do make some pretty good sundaes" he added after awhile and dipped a chicken tender into the ketchup before taking a bite.

"You must be thinking of your other girlfriend because I never made sundaes." She took a bite from her chicken finger, pulling the newspaper over to her. She fished the funnies out and handed them to Adrienne before she started reading over the front page. She wasn't very hungry to begin with, either. Not after everything that went on today. She could barely eat what was on her plate. "You won't be able to sleep the night unless you take the couch. I don't have a spare room seeing as we never have guests." She told him without looking up from her paper.
